Antigua Holidays
What could be more enjoyable than relaxing on an island that boasts a beach per every day of the year? Well that is what you can expect if you join the thousands of people that enjoy Antigua holidays each year. Here are some of our favourites.
Just for the awesome name Jabberwock Beach has to occur on the list, but that is not all you get with a mile of glorious white sand and the serene Caribbean Sea. Whilst relaxing on Turners Beach you can take in sublime views of the island of Montserrat and build up your tan or, if snorkelling is your thing, you might enjoying going to Darkwood beach where the sea life is welcoming Caribbean holidays.
For those of you who like to bake in the sun, the shade of the palm trees on Half Moon Beach might be just the ticket, but get there early and remember that the shade disappears everywhere at noon. Finally, Hawksbill Beach is a haven for sunbathers who like to avoid white tan lines of any sort. This is the only beach from our selection that caters to naturists, so be sure you are on the correct one before stripping off.
Away from the beaches, harking back to the days when the British Navy ruled the waves is the fully restored Nelson’s Dockyard, which recreates how the harbour looked over 200 years ago. Nelson’s Dockyard is located in the English Harbour area of Antigua along with other historical sites, including 18th century Clarence House, which was built for royal visitors. This part of the island is also home to some of the best night life for holidays in the area.
Whatever you expect from an island break, be sure to take advantage of some of the great late holiday deals available and see what Antigua has to offer.
