Where to go on holiday next hmmmmmmmm…

After travelling all over the world for many years now there are obviously a few countries that I favour, over all others. In the following post I will give some brief information about my favourite places and where you should go visit if you ever get the chance!

The Amazing Dubai is the second largest country in the United Arab Emirates and is located south of the Persian Gulf. It enjoys a hot, dry, sunny climate all year around with highs reaching just over 100F in the summer months. Luxury holidays in Dubai are famous worldwide, as when it comes to making your most decadent fantasies come true, Dubai will deliver above and beyond expectations! As Dubai was the first city to create the long awaited seven star hotel ‘Burj Al Arab’. The ‘Burj Al Arab’ will go beyond your wildest dreams as its standards in excellence and extravagance will not be beaten. With its ‘Palm Islands’ and the famous ‘world islands’, holidays to Dubai will leave you completely relaxed, happy and totally recharged!

Barbados holidays are notoriously famous for their fantastic Rum industry that has made the Caribbean Islands a favourite between pirates and tourist alike throughout all the ages! Barbados is believed to be the actual birthplace of the awesome brown and white liquor, with the first batch being distilled over 370 years ago. Natives of Barbados took the sugar canes that are plentiful around the islands and turned it into one of the world’s best loved sprits that is still enjoyed both locally and internationally to this day. Legend has it that English sailors, who acquired quiet a taste for the stuff, required Caribbean Rum as proof of bounty that they had crossed the Atlantic back in the sixtieth century. That’s if they didn’t end up drinking it all before they got back to England that is!

So whether you’re into supreme luxury or like to rough it on the beach with a bottle of rum, you have 2 destinations here that would make a dream holiday. I also here Las Vegas holidays are amazing too, but haven’t tried there yet.

Top 2011 Holiday Destinations

It is now that exciting time of the year when you get to start planning your holiday, if you are not already decided on where to go and the choices are a little over whelming, why not look at this short list of amazing holiday destinations. Here are three of the best places to travel and where, to avoid this condition.

Africa has many destinations to travel to and since the World Cup last year, you can benefit from the improved infrastructure that they have introduced and all the new buildings, hotels and other exciting landmarks make a trip to South Africa one of the most amazing places to visit at the moment. There has never been a better time to visit Egypt as well, despite the harrowing portrait the media has been playing, it is still a beautiful and peacful (and now cheap) country to visit. When in reality, it’s not that bad and shark attacks are few and far between.

Dubai has had a hard time meeting expectations recently and there has never and most likely will never be a better and cheaper time to go on a Dubai holiday. What’s the most interesting is that you can see all the new development projects that have taken place and multimillion dollar, seven star hotels, but they have not been able to fill the spaces up leaving them completely under target.

The last destination for going to in this current climate is the rather obvious, but much neglected super country of Australia. There are many different places and cultures to see throughout the land and if you look hard enough, you won’t just be experiencing the same as every other backpacking traveller that visits the land down under. A lot of people think it’s too far to go for a holiday and that Australia holidays can sometimes be more hassle than they are worth. But it really is an enjoyable country for you to visit.

What To See And Do In Dubai

Dubai, a relatively new tourist destination, is basically a desert city with excellent infrastructure and superb tourist amenities. Dubai is very popular as a short-break destination for tourists from Asia and Europe because it’s conveniently located 3 hours from most Asian countries and 5 hours away from Europe and those who enjoy fine dining, shopping, etc. can have a great time here.

Though Dubai can get extremely humid and hot in the summer months, with temperatures touching 50 degrees Celsius from May to September, it is a great place to visit during the more pleasant months of September to April.

To obtain a tourist visa to Dubai, a prerequisite is for your passport to be valid at least 6 months before your arrival. Individuals may apply for a tourist visa if they intend to spend less than 30 days in the United Arab Emirates, but for those who will spend more than 30 days in the country, visit visas are issued.

Known as the city of superlatives, Dubai is home to the fastest, largest, highest, and tallest. It is home to Burj Dubai, which upon completion in 2008 will be the tallest building in the world, surpassing the Taipei 101 in Taiwan.

Thrilling hot air balloon rides, Dune Bashing, golfing, or even sand golfing are example of unique experiences offered to visitors in Dubai. The extreme can be experienced by visitors as they go sand skiing and sand boarding in the hot desert sands or ski and snowboard in the specially built skiing center. In the heart of the city is a water amusement park called Wild Wadi in which adults and kids can have a great time. Like the Morning Desert Safari, the Overnight Desert safari is just as exciting and different. While aboard a traditionally decorated wooden dhow, the Dubai Dhow Cruise takes you sailing down the Dubai Creek. As you take a midnight cruise for a completely different experience, you can marvel at the major landmarks that are beautifully lit up at night.

With so much to see and do in Dubai, maybe you’d need much more than just a short break after all.
