Great Golf and Great Service

An associate and I were recently on a business trip to Thailand, where we decided to get a round of golf in on one of our days out of meetings and by lord we found some of the best service we have ever experiences.

At first we felt a little uncomfortable having a caddy as we are by no means professional players. To play at the golf course we had to have a compulsory caddy, paying an extra $50, which was a reasonable amount considerring the service we received.

Baring in mind the Siam Golf Course runs a compulsory caddie service and although we could have gone somewhere else, but it did not take long for use to enjoy the experience and it only took a fraction of the time expected to get over the fact we were being caddied for. This was a lot better than the experiences of using my own golf trolley batteries at UK golf courses.

I was really impressed with the knowledge, despite the preconceptions i’ll freely admit I had when I saw they were all female. They weren’t tasked with carrying the golf clubs, otherwise I would have felt bad, but instead they drove the electric golf trolleys. After I teed off she met me at my ball with a close enough yardage and 90% of the time she was presenting me with the correct club.

Suffice to say they are trained to an extremely high standard. They came at me with all the golf terms and are well trained on reading the greens. You may think it sounds a bit like exploitation, but the truth couldn’t be further away. They take a serious amount of pride in their job and the service they give. It is another job in the ever growing tourist market in Thailand and keeps them employed, clothed and in a relatively safe and enjoyable job.

You should see some of these ladies play as well, we happened to be the last people in the morning, so invited them to play our last whole as a sort of Am-Am one hole competition and they really did show us up, which we were none too happy about. Whether you are on a holiday in Thailand or business trip, you’

Overall you could travel the thousands of miles just to experience golf in a different setting with slightly different grass, but if you really want to have a different, much more enjoyable experience, do experience the high grade service available at these golf resorts.

Used Golf Clubs: How To Find The Best

There has always been a market for used golf clubs, probably ever since the game began. In every way, the game of golf tends to be very expensive. Course fees or club membership is one of the biggest expenses. Then you have all of the equipment, of which clubs are just one part.

There are many reasons why used golf clubs are bough by many people. Needing a club or a set of clubs and not having the money to buy new ones is the first reason. When they hear that a player has bought a pre-owned equipment, many people would assume this to be the case. But it’s not often true.

Because you’re starting out and you may want to buy used clubs since you’re not sure if you’ll permanently take up the game of golf. It’s addictive, so be warned. Or you may be buying used clubs for a family member who thinks that they might want to play with you. Buying them a second hand set seems like a good idea since you don’t want t a beginner to use your own prized clubs. And since you bought them a valuable gift, they’ll also be very happy.

You may also want to try a style or brand that’s out of your budget, and this is yet another reason for buying used golf clubs. You may know a player who selling his clubs because it doesn’t suit him or is giving up the game. Once you’ve tried it out, you wanted it. Buying pre-owned is therefore not about money.

If you’re to purchase a used golf club, make sure the previous owner good care of it. Of course when you talk to them, they will probably tell you that they really made sure to keep the club in best condition, but you have to be careful and remember that all in all, they are just trying to sell the club and get rid of it. Once you walk away there’s going to be no returns. So carefully check the clubs for damage especially if you don’t know the owner and have your suspicions for his reasons of selling them.

You have to see if there are cuts or dents when you check if the club was properly maintained. Obviously, the club is there to hit a golf ball and it might show some minor and unimportant defects such as marks or scratches, but generally speaking there shouldn’t be anything major visible on the equipment.

It also shouldn’t be bent. You can tell by closely looking at the shaft at the area near the head. Bumps and malformations of the head’s surface, discoloration or signs of weakness in the shaft are signs that a club was bent then straightened again.

Your best chance of being happy with your purchase will come from buying from a trustworthy source. For example, you could buy from a store that offers a guarantee or from somebody you know. Ask for their policy of returns if you buy from a stranger or eBay in case you’re not happy with the club after you’ve tried it. They may agree to give you a short guarantee period.

Even so, you may still hope to get a bargain. Finding the best used golf clubs can be part of the fun in the game of golf.
