My Luxury Holiday in Greece

I remember when me and my wife wre planning our Greek trip. It was a freezing cold night in the middle of January and we were both suffering from the post Christmas blues. Choosing from a varying selection of holidays in Greece available online, we decided this time to go self catering to give us a greater sense of freedom. Getting away for a spring break this year seemed an attractive idea, so once we had booked our villa, couldn’t wait until it was time to go.

Over the next fortnight, we experienced luxury we never thought we could. With it’s own pool and jacuzzi, the villa was within walking distance from town. All this in addition to the stunning view of the sea which we woke up to every morning.

The day began with a morning swim, and then a poolside breakfast. Then we would make plans for the day. My wife and I spent most days touring the different beauty spots of the island. Wherever we went, we found the locals friendly and willing to help, and the cost of the various tours was very reasonable too.

In the evening, we would sometimes opt to stay in having a barbecue by the poolside. It was certainly great to dine underneath the stars. On other occasions, we would saunter in to town to experience the local nightlife. There was a good selection of bars and restaurants and the low cost was a welcome surprise.
