New York Hotel Deals And The NYC Pass

New York Hotel Deals

A trip to New York is usually quite costly largely because of high hotel prices but if you’re intelligent enough to use www.NewYorkHotelDeals.us then you will save some of your money because you will always find the lowest hotel room rates because you are seriously using many different hotel websites simultaneously. This website is something like a “Google” for finding hotel deals in the Big Apple. This service searches through dozens of hotel reservation websites on the internet and quickly delivers the least expensive hotel room rates on over 550 hotels in the five boroughs.

In addition to finding the best discounts on hotel rooms in New York City, this service also has easy to use hotel search result sorting powers which allow you to find precisely the right room for your vacation. There are also the verified guest reviews for each hotel which allow you to see what real people thought of the place before you decide on the right place.

The NYC Tourism Pass is also strongly recommended for tourists because it features entry to over 50 fantastic tourist attractions. In place of purchasing tickets for each attraction, you can just order the one “pass” which allows you to gain entry into all of them.

Among the many tourist attractions the New York Pass features are all of New York’s most famous museums (including MoMA), the Empire State Building, the Food on Foot Tours, the Bodies Exhibition, and the Hop On Hop Off Water Taxi.

This New York Pass also comes with a travel guide with every order. It’s got directions with maps for all 55 tourist attractions included with the pass. It is available in Spanish and German as well as English.

And one more thing I must say to tourists taking a trip to NYC; Please take advantage of the wonderful food NYC has to offer! Don’t waste a single meal on terrible chain restaurant food (and it’s true; chain restaurants are terrible. If you don’t know that, it’s only because you’ve yet to experience great food.)

New Orleans – Travel Guide

Travel is more of a passion to me rather than just a hobby and I love to travel across the globe. Though travel is my passion but I don’t want to travel full time as I love my job, my family and my friends very much. I can’t think of leaving all of these and set out for travel across the globe. Unlike many travelers I don’t like to stay in hostels or traveling in 3rd class so money is a big factor for me . .

I go out for vacation at least 4-5 times a year to various places. A few months back I went to New Orleans for couple of weeks and it was a great trip with loads of fun and relaxation..

I went to New Orleans with one of my girlfriend, Ivy; who loves to travel as me and was thinking of going somewhere for a long time and when I told her about my plan she was more than happy to join me.

I believe that holidays are for meeting new people and chlling out with friends rather than exploring as many places as you can. Before traveling anywhere I do lot of research about good hotels, things to do, local transportations and history of the place. After doing thorough reasearch I book my hotel, flight tickets and tickets for other attractions as well. Most of the time if you book your ticket well in advance you get a better deal than booking at the last minute. A few years back I had visited Eiffel tower and didn’t book my ticket in advance and as a result I had to stand for more than 3 hours in the queue and after that incident I always prefer to book my tickets in advance.

We went to New Orleans in July this year. Our flight landed at Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport at 2 o’clock in the afternoon; from there we took a taxi to our hotel, The Ritz-Carlton. Our hotel was located nearly 12 miles from the airport and one way trip costs $20. You can also book a round trip for just $38 at the airport. The airport shuttle will pick you up at least 3 hours in advance of the departure flight. When we reached our hotel it was around 3:30 PM and we were very tired so after having a sandwich I went to my room to had a good sleep.

In the evening we didn’t do much as we were very tired so we decided to take a walk and explore the nearby areas. Our New Orleans hotel was situated in the French Quarter, which is the most famous area of the city. French Quarter has many historic buildings and is a National Historic Landmark. During the Spanish rule this area was known as Vieux CarrĀ© and many historic buildings were built during the Spanish rule. I loved the area and decided to explore it further before leaving the city. We decided to have our dinner at a local restaurant named, Angeli. It was a small Greek restaurant which serves delicious food at a very reasonable rate.

After we finished our dinner we headed to our hotel as next day we had to wake up early to go to New Orleans School of Cooking to learn how to cook local dishes like Gumbo, Jambalaya, Shrimp Creole and few more other dishes. We have booked our classes from 10 AM 12:30PM and it cost us $29 per person. As I had heard a lot about this class so didn’t want to miss the experience.

After coming back from our trip I invited few of my friends to taste few traditional Louisiana cuisine that I had learned from my cooking class in New Orleans and every body loved my food.. I am currently planning to attend the Tomatina event, where people throw tomatoes at each other, in Spain very soon.

New Orleans Travel Guide

For the last couple of months, I was thinking of going on a holiday for few days with my friends leaving my two kids, Jimmie 10 and Sarah 7 with their dad. I can’t even remember when was the last time I went out with my friends.

Before I had kids I used to go on hiking, river rafting, diving and many other adventurous trips but after I became a full time mummy I stopped doing all these things and became busy with my two lovely kids and a caring husband.

About 3 months back Emmy came to my house and asked me that she is planning a trip to New Orleans with our old college friends and if I am willing to join them . It was such a good oppourtunity hang out with my friends once again, but I was little worried about kids and whether Justin, my husband will be able to take care of them or not but when Justin assured me, I called Emmy and told her that I am joining her.

It was my first trip to New Orleans but I had heard a lot about it. New Orleans is well known for its nightlife and Bourbon Street is the entertainment venue for those who love Jazz and partying late. Bourbon Street is popular among party goers. Pubs, bars and nightclubs are lined on both side of the street which is almost 1 mile long and we will find Jazz music being played by bands in almost every establishments.

I love Jazz so we went to a Jazz club named, Bombay club which is located in French quarter and is an upscale restaurant serving delicious food and amazing Jazz music. We stayed there till 12 and then we went to some nightclub in Bourbon Street and stayed there quite late. I would like to give you few safety tips about Bourbon street – Do not carry or wear valuables, always stay in group and do not go to desereted lanes.

Next day we went to Spa Atlantis after having a late breakfast. Since it is a very popular spa so we had booked our session a couple of weeks back. I would recommend that if you are in New Orleans then take some time off and visit this Spa. The spa treatments are slightly expensive then other spa houses that I have attended but their quality of service makes for their prices.

After our spa treatment we decided to go to Garden District which was built in 1830s and is popular for its 19th century mansions. In Garden city we took a guided tour and enjoyed every moment of it. We saw Sandra Bullock’s house, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button’s house, Commander’s Palace and many more other notable houses.

We became very tired after our tour to Garden city so we headed to our hotel to take some rest. After I returned to my room I called home and spoke with my kids and Justin. I was very worried about them as I was not sure Justin will take care of them or not but he is doing great and kids are enjoying their time with their dad as they had never been able to spend much time with their dad as Justin spends most of his time on business travel.

Next morning we left New Orleans and went to De Sota National park to participate in some adventure sports.
